Yesterday I met with Thomas Kleinhanzl, Present and CEO of the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He greatly supported the concept of the GHT going through Frederick to serve the residents of his service area.
With his endorsement of the Grand History Trail, all of the major health systems along the trail have agreed that the completion of the trail would be a good thing for the people they serve. The benefits of exercise and family time together provided by the trail promotes a healthy lifestyle recommended by all health professionals. We are so pleased that all health systems along the trail have agreed that the GHT is needed and a great addition for their clientele.
The next step could be a photo op. with the CEOs from WellSpan, Hanover Hospital, Johns Hopkins Health System, and Frederick Hospital riding on a finished portion of the trail between Pennsylvania and Maryland.
